Hear, Hear !
Now it is supposed to be, “Yassir massa or Nawsir massa”. Or, here come the bullets.
Could both apply?
You [or me] would be in prison for a long, long time.
They said that it was an expired tag.
I feel sorry for the public. Does answering your door armed constitute "doing everything wrong? Your house and you want to be safe - if a cop happens to be knocking on doors, to try to interview people as potential witnesses or some such task, just arbitrarily shoot you because you are armed and be awarded sympathy?
“THEY DONT TRUST the very people that they are supposed to be protecting and serving.”
I wonder if the guy had a Tea Party, or similar, bumper sticker on the car. If so, he IS the enemy according to the White House.
Well, at least the cop went home safe that night.
We’re told that that’s all that matters.
Trigger happy lunatic jackboot alert. Just like that other jackboot, this time in CT, that is salivating over kicking in doors to confiscate guns. These @$$holes had better realize what they are asking for in return.
probably expired tags or some other BS.
You are right. Not having done anything wrong, what, in his own mind, did he have to fear. I have tried to teach my children & grandchildren to act not react.
I seriously doubt there was a legitimate reason for pulling this driver over... other than to fish for a summons to write.... wasn't the truck registered in North Carolina? He probably saw out of state plates and revenue opportunity. NC plates... at least that's what I thought I heard when I saw the video one time yesterday. I could be wrong...
Point is... there was most likely no intentional criminal activity going on... they were looking for a DUI... and if it wasn't a DUI it would be something else. Seatbelt... weaving... not using a turnsignal... anything to justify initiating what turned into a shooting incident (for whatever reason).
Or a “tail or tag light out” or “weaving” it was a pretex stop you know that and I know that. In addition, he had his headlights on, his light bar, plus his spotlight. In other words, the area was lit up brighter than high noon on a clear day. The cop exited his vehicle with his gun in his hand. I would not doubt if the cop, in his mind , thought he saw a World War style anti tank rifle, hell, for what it was worth , he could have saw, in his mind, him reaching for the man in the moon. But the point is, you do not think, you make sure. This guy was scared shitless heroeing and started blasting. It was only by the Grace of God, not the deputy, that no one was killed. The deputy sure as hell tried.
After reviewing the tape and how the policeman responded to the incident, I am having a hard time being critical of what happened. I am glad that the veteran was not severely injured, however the cop needs to have some target practice. He shot at the guy 6 times and only hit him slightly once. At that range he should be putting all six within a grouping of a silver dollar.
he was pulled over for expired tags on his truck.
Yes. I noted in a post a few months ago that conservatives are the new “negroes”. Allowed to exist, but expected to know their place, and lynched if they get uppity. And always by Dems.
One out of six is pretty good shooting for a cop.
Seriously, at the distance the dash cam makes it look from the cop car to the old man’s car and the cop had a car door between him and the man I would never have fired at that old man at that point in time. If he actually turned around with a gun in his hand then I would have shot him.
Eh, you don't have to get so personal about it.
