I seriously doubt there was a legitimate reason for pulling this driver over... other than to fish for a summons to write.... wasn't the truck registered in North Carolina? He probably saw out of state plates and revenue opportunity. NC plates... at least that's what I thought I heard when I saw the video one time yesterday. I could be wrong...
Point is... there was most likely no intentional criminal activity going on... they were looking for a DUI... and if it wasn't a DUI it would be something else. Seatbelt... weaving... not using a turnsignal... anything to justify initiating what turned into a shooting incident (for whatever reason).
Or a “tail or tag light out” or “weaving” it was a pretex stop you know that and I know that. In addition, he had his headlights on, his light bar, plus his spotlight. In other words, the area was lit up brighter than high noon on a clear day. The cop exited his vehicle with his gun in his hand. I would not doubt if the cop, in his mind , thought he saw a World War style anti tank rifle, hell, for what it was worth , he could have saw, in his mind, him reaching for the man in the moon. But the point is, you do not think, you make sure. This guy was scared shitless heroeing and started blasting. It was only by the Grace of God, not the deputy, that no one was killed. The deputy sure as hell tried.
