What would St.Patrick do if he ran across a pack of LGBT’s? I think he would drive them out like the snakes that they are.

“”””Their market is unaware of and/or indifferent to all this,”””””

Agreed. I’d say most people will never even hear of this. A very small fraction of people, unlike us here at FR that keep up and stay active in this type thing, will hear about it and simply not care or have no opinion either way. These people don’t keep up with social events and don’t have opinions either way.

It will not be like the Phil Robertson/A&E debicule where it was national news followed by millions of dedicated fans. This is just a blip on the news page... way back on the back page. One would have to look for it to find it.

Nobody cares about St Patricks Day just like Halloween.

Oh they celebrate... celebrate buy buying a bunch of stuff and having an excuse to meet up with friends.

Boston Beer Company makes good beers. I am not going to change that opinion just because they do something I don't like.
That being said, if they want to make it a point to get political, I won't be drinking anythinig from them.
There are far too many great options on the American beer scene.
Dogfish Head, Troeg's, Victory, Brooklyn, Stone, Great Lakes, 21st Amendment, Southern Tier, Rogue, New Belgium, Bear Republic. I don't know anything about the political or social leanings of these breweries, and I hope they keep it that way.

"Well, not a big deal, if you don’t think honoring a great man with thanksgiving to God and solemnity as opposed to commercialism and alcohol sales is a big deal. The commercialism is the problem."

You touch on an important point. St. Patrick's Day has become for many - including many non-Catholics - as an excuse to get drunk and eat Irish food and have a parade, and for stores to push Irish-themed merchandise for a couple of weeks. Maybe the parade should be cancelled and replaced by a national day of prayer for the healing and conversion of homosexuals.

Amen to that, but you know how the gay lobby and the media work, and before long every business owner will feel compelled - or maybe even required by law, as a condition of doing business - to issue statements on gay rights and proclaim themselves as "gay friendly", and refusal to comply will be construed as "guilty of homophobia."

Irish food?

As an Irish American, my question is, what’s that?

My favorite back and forth, favorite, really, in ‘Band of Brothers’ is when Buck says to Mularkey, ‘what do you know about cooking? You’re Irish.’
Mularkey says, ‘Sir, if you have reservations somewhere else, I would be happy to join you.’

Oh, St Patrick is on it. He knows bad behavior and the solid faith of the Irish better than anyone.

LOL Boddingtons is quite easy to find right now as I am in west midlands area of the UK until the end of the month.

While I am here I am making the best of the situation by indulging in what can be best described as a beer/ale orgy.

Bottoms up!! Cheers !

And saying it with axe handles.

Well, I've heard that both Irish and English cooking have made great strides in recent years.

Yes, but that’s not what you were talking about. You were talking about that awful corned beef and cabbage.

NO NO No.

Green beer? ridiculous

There is a lot efed up about this country but beer and cheese make it almost make up for it. (Red Leicester, Double Gloucester, Wenslydale and Caerphilly just for starters! YUM!)

I won't. I lied. I was already pretty sure Sam Calagione was pretty liberal, and being located in Rehoboth Beach, DE, well, you know...

But for 90 Minute IPA, I will forgive him.
