Wow, Rush is spending a lot of time on 0bamacare.
If it does get repealed we have to have a bill for pre existing conditions.
“If it does get repealed we have to have a bill for pre existing conditions.”
Why? That was a problem that did not exist, before Obamacare. I’m too busy right now to look up the stats for you, but if you think about common knowledge what we know is the following:
1. 85% of the population was satisfied with their pre-Obamacare health insurance policies.
2. something like 60% of the population were participants in group health insurance policies provided by their employer. In those cases, all employees MUST be accepted by the insurer.
3. Of those not previously covered, something like 2/3rds of them were young and healthy and did not WANT to pay for coverage. About half of the remaining number of people in the total were illegal aliens.
4. The final number of actual uninsured that would have been at risk for the problem was only about 5M people. Those folks could have qualified for Medicare or appealed to their state board of insurance regulators to be placed in the higher risk pools. They would have gotten coverage, had they simply followed the directions as was already in place...
In summary, the “pre-existing conditions” clause sure sounds wonderful, but it is a solution without a problem.
