RE: I just don’t see why hijackers would have taken the plane just to crash it in the Indian Ocean..they had every opportunity to crash it into the China Sea.
Well, they probably wanted to go to a place that required them to cross the Indian Ocean ( Mogadishu?), however, they overestimated the amount of fuel the plane had to get there.
The plane then, unfortunately crashed because it did not have enough fuel to get to its intended destination.
Yeah but they were flying for 4-5 hours after contact was lost..they couldn’t locate where they needed to go? They had no problem hijacking a plane but couldn’t find the place that they needed to land in..doesn’t sound right
