Don’t, just yet, sell Roberts short over his Obama Care decision.

Democrats never intended for Obama Care to work. They knew they were incapable of running anything that large, and they knew Republicans were aware of their incompetence. Democrats were sure Republicans would stop them, thus relieving them of the responsibility of running something they were incapable of running in the first place but leaving them with the issue. What they didn’t realize was that Republicans have become just as incompetent as are Democrats.

Never forget that Democrats are Communists and Communists are ends justify the means liars. Democrats are masters of the lie, the double deal, the scam, the hustle, the rigged election, and any trick they can use to stay in power, but they aren’t capable of running a legitimate business enterprise such as our country’s health care system and they know it.

When Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barry Soetoro passed Obama Care, they knew it was not only unworkable but it was unconstitutional and the Supreme Court would stop it, leaving the Democrats with the issue (“We tried to provide every American with affordable health care, and the mean old Republicans stopped us”). In the meantime, the Democrats rewarded loyal Democrats with over a billion dollars (exact amount as yet unknown) in contracts for a website that was never intended to come to fruition. They certainly didn’t expect John Roberts’ Supreme Court to leave them with the responsibility and not the issue.

This Republican halted health care issue was the one the Democrats intended to use to rally their base for the 2012 election and without it had to use the Trayvon Martin shooting instead. “If I had a son,” and a few rigged elections barely pulled it off for them in 2012, but they were also counting on the ACA issue for 2014 and 2016, so now what are they going to use to rally their base? Not to worry, they’ll come up with something that’ll infuriate their “low information” electorate.

No, John Roberts didn’t do the Democrats a favor when he didn’t give them an “issue” but instead gave them the responsibility for doing something they were incapable of ever doing and never intended to do in the first place.

But what do I know? I’m just a tax payer.

I concur, Roberts took the heat for what is now unfolding. I was dumbfounded when I first read the decision. I kept thinking he was a fox and they a bunch of chickens. One thing you can count on in life, that people will fly off the handle (emotions) before they understand the move (reason)! Democrats playing checkers with a chess player!

“They knew they were incapable of running anything that large”

You’re giving them too much credit. I believe they actually thought they could do it.

That would be wonderful — if John Roberts’ job was political. It is not.

His job is to decide cases based on their Constitutional merits, not to decide elections. Obamacare is arguably the most black-letter unconstitutional law the USSC has ruled upon in the last fifty years, and Roberts blew it. Plain and simple.

I don’t want the Supreme Court playing kingmaker. I want the Supreme Court protecting the document that protects my freedoms and the freedoms of my descendants. No more and certainly no less.

Interesting take on Justice Roberts thinking.

He does not appear to be a superficial man, nor a stupid one. Consequently, his machinations were baffling as well as disappointing.

Yes, your explanation has great possibilities of what a clever man could do while being blackmailed. . .

Fascinating take on Robert’s decision. I can’t recall what the Administration’s or the Democrat’s immediate reactions were at the time. If Roberts did as you describe, wouldn’t they have betrayed more of a panic at the complete scuttling of their plans?
