Gog-Magog includes Russia overcoming and absorbing Turkey at some point, I think. I'm watching Erdogan.

True, but that was not the North's reason to start the war in the first place... It was a power grab by the North.
It was the Southern and Northern Democrats who wanted to hold onto slavery.
If the South would have been left alone they would have resolved the issue of slavery on their own.
The view of the South was state's rights, the view of the North was power grabbing and the South was the slaves of the North.
President Lincoln was not the " He freed the slaves " saint and god that everyone makes him out to be.
Read his own writings, he ? he was conflicted, if he could have resolved the war and would have saved the Union without him freeing the slaves ? he would have done so.
In his mind ? it was all about saving the Union before freeing the slaves..... the issue of freeing the slaves before saving the Union became the propaganda of that day.

" Dismissing systematic and government sanctioned enslavement of human beings as merely an excuse is morally repugnant. "

That's projecting something upon someone who does not believe in that.... I believe it's wrong.

Besides ? this current government ? and the media ? dismiss systematic government sanctioned enslavement of humans beings all around the world today, even in Africa as we speak ? so ? why does 2014 make it so different that 1863 ?

“True”

All that was required. The rest of the nonsense was a waste of your time.

“That’s projecting something upon someone who does not believe in that.... I believe it’s wrong.”

Your belief is contradicted by your own posts. They should probably communicate with each other better.

“North’s excuse because of the issue was about slavery was just that, a excuse”

“dismiss systematic government sanctioned enslavement of humans beings all around the world today, even in Africa as we speak ? so ? why does 2014 make it so different that 1863 ?”

It doesn’t.

The western part of the Ukraine does make a nice sore thumb and sticking point in eastern Europe..... If Putin is on the march ? I don't see why he doesn't also take Poland.
Yes, at one point he will absorb Turkey in the excuse that they messed up his pipeline and he was just in Turkey to straighten things out and dares Obama to stop him.
Turkey would be the perfect staging point for Russian troops to invade Israel.
Look at it this way ? Obama has destabilize all the other countries around Israel other than Jordan.
The chess pieces are being set in place.
Obama's people in the Ukraine and the Obama administration had something to do with the destabilizing the Ukraine and the expulsion of their last president into exile.
This is Russia's slow creeping towards Israel making plausible excuses to do so.

Are related to Walt Whiskey PaPa? He was the biggest anti-South POS to ever disgrace FR.

The more we become a communist nation (more commie than the damn Russians even) the more I wish the South had won. I hardly recognize the current version of the USA.

Sorry, you may say it's nonsense, but I don't think so.

Just because someone believes that the South was in it's rights of secession from the North does not mean that they supported slavery.
There is such a thing called the 10th Amendment.

“Sorry, you may say it’s nonsense, but I don’t think so.”

Evidentaly, but it honestly had nothing to do with why I initially responded.

“Just because someone believes that the South was in it’s rights of secession from the North does not mean that they supported slavery.”

True. Saying slavery was merely an ‘excuse’ for the North to get medievally tyrannical on the innocent Southerners doesn’t hold one up as a staunch abolitionist either.

“But these Russian protesters should not have gone there...looks like some of them need to have their heads examined and Putin needs to get the thugs in line along with Ukraines theirs as well.”

Agreed. There are interests that want a shooting war to break out because they see money making and power grabbing opportunities in it. Many of these people are provocateurs that would shoot their own grandmother if they made a buck from it. Just like in Syria we stick our nose in but don’t have a clue about others that are involved.

Things are never as they seem and since I don’t trust this administration I’m not going to buy into what they and their media tell us.
