Yep, another “Tailhook” for politicians to make hay of.
I’d kind of like to see a “loser does the time” punishment in cases like this. If the jury finds beyond a reasonable doubt the per was wrong, he/she does time. it’s it’s shown to be a false allegation, the accuser does the time the accused was facing.
If a woman has sex with a drunken man, would you charge her with rape as well, with the same penalties?
When somebody gets drunk and gets behind the wheel, his or her drunken condition is no defense to any bad result of their being drunk. The best solution is to tell people "Don't get so drunk that you cannot exercise good judgement".

That is my comment about the way political correctness persecutions typically work. In this case, however, the rape charge was never justified. Women who get blotto and then accuse the man of doing what comes naturally when you're drunk, are just not rape victims (unless there was violence). They are just stupid and self-negligent.

I agree - if she was concerned after hearing what happened to her and didn’t remember any of it, surely she is not so stupid as to not consider having been drugged. That’s when character counts, and you head to the ER. It’s not like this is something new on the planet....
No, the alleged victim is a female:

Well, it does not sound like the young man covered himself in glory here, but he did wind up having to leave the Academy while the skank is now a senior. Also, his name is plastered all over, while hers remains unknown to the public.

Sounds like a fine upstanding lass there, and I feel so protected knowing the likes of her will soon be commanding the military in charge of my nation’s security.
Oh, prejudice, my eye! Women do not want equality. The ones who talk about it only want equal — or often preferential — opportunity. But, when it suits them, they want inequality in the sense that they expect to get breaks and exceptions that are not available to the men.

The military can keep pushing that there are no differences between the men and women, so the unnatural result of that false assumption is what we see in this story.

But, then, we already know that one of the major goals of the left is to destroy the military. Putting women and homosexuals into the ranks is working quite well.
