Yep -- fish don't talk.
But the hijacking scenario is still interesting. I would think they would want the plane for ransom and not to use as a weapon, though.
It doesn’t sound like the General is very confident in what he is claiming.
-—So The General is turning up the heat and forcing these jackasses to do something.-—
I agree that could be possible. And I think it’s AT LEAST as likely the plane could’ve landed somewhere(for whatever reason) as it is the plane was ditched in the southern Indian Ocean.
But I’m also looking at the reports that the General is citing(the publicly available ones), here is part of the first report on the ‘possibility’ the plane landed in Pakistan, per the source McInerney keeps citing, LIGNET: http://www.lignet.com/InBriefs/Malaysia-Hunts-for-Missing-Jet-in-Pakistan-Israel-
Not exactly definitive.
Here is another story that the LIGNET report mentions from the UK Independent: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/missing-malaysia-airlines-flight-mh370-net-widens-as-pilots-passengers-engineers-and-crew-investigated-9195320.html
In addition to contributing almost zero information, the UK Independent story seems to be based entirely on the ‘possibility’ the plane overflew Pakistan strictly on where the upper channel of flight would’ve been when plotting the last 7-8 hours of satellite pings. The report seems to NOT have been made based on any definitive information the plane landed in Pakistan.
I’m not saying it didn’t land in Pakistan(or somewhere else). But relying on these reports seems thin. LIGNET does seem to have some serious people behind it, but they are all retired and hence still secondary sources. IF in fact McInerney does have other confidential sources who are confirming the Pakistan landing, then that’d be real news, but the publicly available LIGNET report and the UK Independent report that the General cites are next to worthless, IMO. The Boeing official could’ve said, ‘No comment,’ but instead issued an outright denial that they ‘had no information that substantiates that claim.’
So in essence as I see it, STILL no hard info, meaning the plane could STILL be just about anywhere at this point.
That is SOME crackpot story!!!
Which one of them isn't?
I have thought that all along too.
LtGen McInerney is a very knowledgable authority, and I would not discount his experienced opinion.
watching rerun....source at Boeing believes western Pakistan. To be used later for terrorism.
wow. The General is sure not backing off this.
If they went to this much trouble to steal the airliner, they’ll also keep the passengers alive as hostages.
Be prepared for the jet to show back up with them onboard, happy to be released, but a question if the jet is now an assymmetric WMD. With the passengers on board, there will be incentive not to shoot it down, but to allow it to fly somewhere with controlled security.
The General was on Hannity tonight sticking to his story and even confirming that he has sources who confirm the position in Pakistan - or was - probably moved since. This was today 3/21. So he is still out there sticking to his position. Not in hiding at all. I like that.
lbryce, thanks for posting this!

Strange, because he was on Hannity again tonight.
Yes, he was back on tonight making the same claims. He seems very serious and worried that whoever did this will get away with it.
When is it going to STOP?
It reminds me of Payne Stewart because communications between the pilot and ground seemed normal. Then the plane took a right turn and there was no response from the plane after that. But then, how did the transponders get turned off on MH370? That had to be deliberate or a system failure of some kind. We're just not going to know until we know, and we may never know...
Tho thoughts on that, one from personal experience.
First, commercial aircraft don’t fly at maximum speed but at a lower “cruising” speed in order to both save fuel and leave some ability to speed up if bucking headwinds so they can still arrive on schedule.
In my own experience which doesn’t completely apply in this case on a return flight from New York to Chicago our pilot diverted (with permission I suppose) from his regular flight plan and flew well north of his original flight plan to catch an unusual effect of the jet stream which allowed us to arrive in Chicago almost a half hour earlier than originally scheduled.
How do I know that? The pilot announced to the passengers what he was doing and why before he did it.
I’m not typically a tinfoil hat guy, but this debris near Australia doesn’t smell kosher to me. I also expect they will deliver debris to that site, maybe with a bow on top.
and for every decision....every secret classified fact, every command, every intention and solution, this President is the dumbest human near the conversation.
