LIGNET learned that engineers at Boeing believed the missing aircraft was on the ground in Pakistan. For several reasons, including al-Qaeda’s presence there, historical attack patterns, corruption, weakness and terrorist sympathies at the highest levels inside Pakistan.

Uhhhhh -- engineers know aeronautics, mechanics, things about the plane and its flight capabilities -- not the politics of Pakistan, its terrorist groups and their hijacking capabilities.

It's Boeing engineers who gave us the satellite engine ping arcs that don't put that plane anywhere near Pakistan. So Lignet is FOS.

This incident will leave a lot of casualties in its wake and the General reputation is likely to be one of them.

Actually I believe it was Inmarsat, a UK company, that provided that data.

Actually the pings you are speaking of put the arc very close to Pakistan....and if they flew a certain route...MH370 would be within less than an hour of Pakistan.

And the pings came from IMNARSAT....and the 40 degree satellite arc is very close to Pakistan.

I have no idea what happened and no guesses beyond speculation. However, I have observed many of our retired Generals have become conspiracy theorists. Ironically, this coincides with them becoming paid talking heads or pimping their websites/blogs where they get advertising dollars for page views.
