No reason why you hijack a plane to reprint and later use as a flying bomb and then leave the passengers alive. If this was my plan I would have killed them and made the bodies disappear. Ransome doesn’t make sense since even Pakistan couldn’t survive that heat and stupidity. I suspect a hijacking of some sort with the idea of suicide. That’s why it seems more likely one of the pilots was involved.
