I watched the two clips (and that’s all I have seen.)
1. The general won’t say he has sources, his interviewers say it.
2. The general speculates solely on the basis of a couple of known facts about communications from the jet, and his calculation (on a dreaded and much hated here iPhone) of distances between Kuala Lumpur and Beijing or Lahore.
3. Somebody’s hearing what hasn’t been said.
I just read all your posts over the last few months, You do know your music and I will defer to you on that subject.
On this subject I will trust my instincts and the General and respectfully disagree with you.
