There is no such thing guaranteed in the Bill of Rights as Freedom from Religion! Not anywhere, not at any time.
However, Freedom of Religion is clearly stated, to include the freedom not to practice any religion.

The really frustrating thing about the Freedom From Religion Foundation is their lack of respect for other people’s views. No one is allowed to have a belief system that differs from their own.

I worked with a Jewish guy. He would wish me a Merry Christmas and I would wish him a Happy Hannukkah or other holiday. It’s about respecting the rights of others to believe as they believe.

For most of my adult life, Christmas included an older Jewish couple who were lifelong friends. Their children were spread around the globe and having Christmas dinner with us broke up the boredom of a day where the stores and restaurants were all closed once they had retired and no longer spent Christmas working for folks who celebrated the holiday.

If someone wants to be an atheist, that is their right, but that in no way prevents any one from the free exercise of their religion.

No one should be able to exercise the exclusive right to never be exposed to other peoples’ beliefs.
