Did anyone check with Rick Sanchez to find out if it was too cold in Wyoming for volcanoes?

I was there in 08 and rangers were worried about Norris basin increase in activity back then.

The rangers have always been worried because they want Yellowstone to be a museum and a political cash cow. These are the same people who refused to let the park renew itself for over a hundred years and then there was the Yellowstone fire (nature won). They claimed that the park would be sterile and ruined for generations. Four years later the park was more healthy than it had been in a 75 years. Rangers and political scientists have politicians in common.

Are you sure it wasn’t because they heard Michelle was back from China?

That last paragraph does not sound good to me.

Seismic activity at the site of a super volcano is never a source of warm and fuzzy feelings.

If Yellowstone ever detonates, it’ll make what’s going on in CAL, seem like shifting sand on a beach...

Yes, Algore says the temperature in the core of the Earth is several million degrees.

He would know. Straight from the depths of hell.

In Oklahoma, there is a definitive report out from the USGS that identifies some of those with the fracking process. There is some merit to that.

you take them both and there you have
The Fracks of Life, the Fracks of Life."

If you are talking about the theory about fault lines “locking up” - then in that case, if it’s continuously happening - it’s considered good.

But, if you’re taking about the huge amount of magna just barely below the surface, and those quakes being related to the movement upwards - that’s not such a good sign.

An eruption should solve the obesity problem in this country, half of the prime farmland would be buried in ash.

Yellowstone National Park has about 1,000 earthquakes a year there

At least that many. Does anyone remember the big 7.5 magnitude 1959 Yellowstone quake that killed at least 28 people in a landslide that dammed a river and created a new lake? The whole region's a seismic crapshoot, the continuation of a geologic process that began millions of years ago with creation of what's called the Yellowstone Hot Spot.

Yes, I remember that one, to this day. It was really big news when it happened.

Hard to tell if this is caused by fracking, global warming, Bush, or racism.

Any moonbat worth his weight in skittles would blame all three..

Someone posted a video on YouTube last week showing herds of bison fleeing Yellowstone, streaming down from the hills and running on the asphalt highway. I have witnessed all kinds of wildlife flee the forest just minutes ahead of a tornado, and suspect the Yellowstone creatures instinctively reacted to the seismic warnings.

All of these things are in God's hands, withheld or unleashed at His command. That's a sobering thought in light of His past forbearances and our current path.

Why is the USGA (US Golf Association) reporting on this? I thought did just golf.

Nice chip, Jack.
