Yeah, and that article was by “Business Insider.” I think that’s the same rag that’s constantly posting liberal-slanted articles singing the praises of Obamacare and the like.

That 2001 total actually makes it the #1 grossing movie of 1968 in addition to adjusting to over $300 million today. But from my research it looks like that total includes all of its theatrical rereleases. It may have made a smaller fraction of that in 1968. I can’t find when its rereleases took place though. I would suspect they were in the 1970s, meaning it would still adjust to quite a lot today.

Of course, just MHO too. I loved BttF 2, the trip to the future seemed a little pointless but still funny (Marty's Japanese boss nailing him in a sting - "McFry!"). The trip to the past was hilarious, and the time travel aspects were very well done. The scene with future Biff whacking past Biff on the head due to past Biff's stupidity was classic - can't say how many times I've wished I could do that to my teenage self.

The 3rd BttF - well, it wasn't great, but it wasn't bad and it wrapped things up. Definitely still ahead of "Return of the Jedi" as far as 3rd movies in trilogies go.
