The Irony of all Ironies.

Posted on 03/31/2014 3:23:41 PM PDT by HalTa

Our Founding Fathers sought the greatest protection for our Nations new citizens by establishing "Freedom of the Press". The "free press" was to be the ultimate safeguard in protecting the new Americans from the inevitable scoundrels that would be seeking the potential riches of Public Office. Never in their wildest dreams could they picture that their ultimate safeguard for our freedoms would evolve into an unholy partnership with the most corrupt political party in American history. No matter what degree of illegality, the Press is there to shield the Democrat Party. But the Press is much more than that. Much, much more. If they cannot control and shield the Democrats from punishment for their criminal activities, they attack. No, not the Democrat law breakers but the persons exposing the Democrat wrong doing. But they don't stop there. They feel they must destroy the opposition. In their arsenal of destructive vocabulary, they have the ultimate weapon. The most terrifying, bone chilling destructive word. RACISM. Guaranteed to stop any criticism in a nanosecond. So you see, it really isn't Obama and his merry men that hold the key to America's survival. It is the American Press. Just by telling the truth about who Obama really was, they could have ended his political career six years ago. But they didn't. They were too enamored with this clean, articulate man who promised to "fundamentally change" America. Obama knew what he meant by that phrase And the Press. They didn't know and the didn't care. They were giddy and deeply in love. I'd say it's time for a divorce. NOW. Obama can keep the kids and Michelle and the Press could regain some credibility.

I think we need a national divorce. We just have to figure which states or sections go where.

There used to be a lot of Republican papers.

Conservatives, being the smart, forward-looking people they are decided that it would be much more practical if their sons went into business and didn't waste time in the arts or journalism or that other silly nonsense.

All of the children of all of the conservatives went into practical fields of study such as business, medicine, law, engineering, etc.

That left the humanities and journalism to the lefties.

Also, it used to be that people had to pay for an education. Now they can get grants, loans, etc. The only people that could afford to get an impractical degree such as English or Art were the sons and daughters of the wealthy, i.e. nominally conservative folks. But now anyone can get a degree in English or Art.

So the conservatives have basically left the cultural field and now wonder why their culture has left them.

Thank the abducted educational system for turning out the pea-brains who think it is their job to promote ideology rather than report facts.

When the Press is not protecting Obama and destroying his enemies, such as Fox News (Faux as they say) and individuals who dare challenge, they are promoting the “celebrity” culture to ensure stupidity of our future generations.

In fact, so called journalists believe themselves to be celebrities. The concept of a “free press” is becoming lost on our youth, as well as any understanding of the origins of our Republic.

If I am not mistaken, isn’t FOX news ratings higher than all the others? I hope so - and maybe there is some consolation there. America may be in the process of divorcing the lame stream faction, but the lame stream will continue to be in denial and be more vicious than ever.

I agree 100% with your analysis. Will add one thing. The Marxists/Socialists
decided decades ago that their road to overthrowing our Republic would be through our schools. I just don’t mean the universities. They now control the minds of our children from kindergarten age through college. Most parents
are completely oblivious of what has happened. Our Press knows and are
for the most part OK with it.

We’re on the same page. It is sickening to think how our great country is presented to our children by our “education elite.” I admit it was long ago and far away but I remember our teachers actually presenting America with pride to the students. We left school proud of America for the good we have done for all nations, friend and foe alike. America suffered tremendous losses in fatalities and wounded as well as $ cost in 4 years of war with Germany Japan and Italy and after victory, instead of the time honored looting and raping, spent more billions in restoring their countries. I bet there isn’t one student in a thousand that knows of America’s generosity towards the rest of the world.
