NEW PAUL RYAN BUDGET SPENDS MORE NOW, STILL BALANCES IN TEN YEARS
Breitbart ^ | April 1, 2014 | by JONATHAN STRONG

House Budget Committee Chairman released his Fiscal Year 2015 budget Tuesday ahead of a potentially difficult vote in the House as he continues to deal with unrest on the right from a deal he struck with Democratic Senate Budget Committee Chair Patty Murray (D-WA).

The 2014 budget spent $3.498 trillion in 2015, while this year's budget spends $3.664 trillion, an increase of $166 billion. The 2014 budget spent $3.660 trillion in 2016, while this year's budget spends $3.676, an increase of $26 billion, according to a report outlining the budget.

The spending in years further out is actually lower than last year's budget, but the overall 10-year spending is $1.166 trillion higher than last year's budget.

This year's budget is a steeper cut from “current policy” as calculated by each budget – a $5.135 trillion cut from current policy in this year's budget versus a $4.633 trillion cut from current policy in last year's budget.

Both budgets would balance in ten years.

The Von Ryan Express Budget Balancing Shell Game.

No thanks. I think we've played this game before.

We have totally seen this movie before. NO FEDERAL BUDGET that is effective beyond the 2-year Congressional election cycle is real.

Toss Paul Ryan in prison.

He can bunk with McCain in the moslem wing.

It’s always pay now, save later, no matter who proposes the budgets.

The Dems and Obama were particularly tricky in combining the emergency porkulus stimulus bill with no budget and continuing baselines to instantly inflate the size of the government. While Ryan is being a bit less devious and daring, he’s still spending now and promising to save later. At least I haven’t heard him use the Clintonian word “investment.”

They rarely last even two years. Ryan’s budget has all the value of a popcorn fart in a whirlwind.

Yeah....if I get hopelessly in debt now I should spend lots more money now and promise to really, really cut my spending in the future.

Is ANYBODY taking Paul Ryan seriously anymore? Awhile ago, I thought he was bought and paid for by the Chamber of Commerce. Now, he's acting like an Obama infiltrator.

Maybe Ryan found some more disabled vets he could screw over. No offense, boss.

Exactly what I was going to say.

The very fact that Ryan year after year proposes these insane 10 year budgets is downright insulting. Ryan is a total fraud.

"...budget spends more now, balances in ten years."

They've said something like this every year for the last thirty-five years, at least.

Ryan’s budget ideas are pure fraud. This should have been the indication of where he was coming from long before his true nature became evident vis a vis immigration. The first iteration assumed 4% growth, uninterrupted, for a decade. A rate of growth and perhaps more saliently, a consistency of growth that has never been achieved in US history.

We’ve been there, done that.
Its a very, very OLD trick (mostly a D party trick) to promise budget savings 10 years out.

We’ve been taken to the cleaners too many times by this trick.

Ryan, you picked up the wrong playbook. Try the one with the R on the cover for awhile...

Memo to every department head. Cut 25% of your budget next year or you are fired with no pension. Signed, Congress.

Ps. That means you will have to sign up for Obamacare

To be fair, I think they have to do 10 year budgets. That said, this has become pointless. Ryan’s earlier budgets depended on real major reform to both Medicare and Medicaid. That’s not happening before 2017...at least no in the way it needs to happen. The voters are content with a fading, failing state over actually addressing our problems.
