I would think coastal Chileans would run straight up the mountains at the first shake. They had a 6 or so a couple weeks ago.

Agree, but it’s not clear exactly what’s going on with the Tsunami. Note the gov’t statement below, assume trying to avoid chaos.

I don’t think I would want to be in the Sea of Cortez in about 10 hrs. Indio, CA might not be safe.

2 meters is the warning height. The Japanese Tohoku quake only had 3m warnings and Soma was hit with 24ft walls of water about an hour after everybody else had their 6ft wave (6ft tall, a km deep).
