Yep.
The west coast of Chile is actually about straight south of the east coast of the USA. Mexico is in the way!
This may or may not explain the warming waters in the EPAC.. seismic shifting leading us to an El Nino.
Seismographers don’t seem to have a handle on this in terms of talking with emergency personnel in vulnerable areas.
