He should know better. Centralization of education is Soviet style indoctrination.
Bill Gates gave $200,000,000 in ONE YEAR (2013) to shove Common Core down the throats of our kids.

That’s the bottom line.
Screw the federales, the Chamber of Commerce, the NEA, the Dept. of Ed., etc. Keep local control at all costs.
This is all being done under the DISGUISE of having “the states” approve the Common Core standards....so now they have the “conservative” approach....it is all a big lie to say the people of the states “approve” Common Core.

Sandra Stotsky, a former member of the validation committee, and Jim Milgram, another member of the validation committee, testify to the UTTER SECRECY into what the deliberations were about......how they were told to LIE about the standards.
No dissent was allowed, and the validation committee members who did not sign on, HAD THEIR NAMES AND CONTRIBUTIONS REMOVED.
The two people who were aforementioned were the ONLY English and Mathematics experts who were on the 30-member committee. They were among those who were said NO to the Common Core.

All “education” should be controlled at the local level by parents ONLY, which includes curricula. Only testing should be like prior to John Dewey. Exit testing only. All good teachers are aware of what deficits are in the Knowledge of their students, otherwise they shouldn’t be “teaching”-—it is just Common Sense, and before Dewey, literacy rates of schools-—even for the Black population was over 90%.
The decline ended with the curricula (programming) which was based on Wundt psychology-—to destroy Classical Education (Socratic Method, Aristotelian Logic and Ethics) and Euclidean Geometry——all thrown out for “Social” Studies and destruction of Truth (biased accounts instead of original documents).....just a control of proper perceptions in children/masses for mob control. (Group Think which replaces Reason with emotions).
Michael Petrilli, of the Fordham Institute, supports Common Core. Fordham got lots of money from Bill Gates.
The Common Core standards DO NOT ALLOW, apparently, colleges to put their incoming students into remedial courses—it is, effectively, the DUMBING DOWN of college level material.
Common Core claims to have “career and college ready” goalposts...contrary to other studies that have been done.
But because “the states” supposedly support it, and it has Bill Gates money and Barack Obamugabe’s support, it is being crammed down our throats.
Common Core central planners want to use the power of law to force education standards across America.
Local control is being taken away if these fascists succeed.
Texas has walked away, apparently, from Common Core, according to Andrew Hacker.
At 27:21, the former Common Core validation member, says Obama doesn’t like Texas’ approach because Texas gives CONTROL TO THE CONSUMER OF EDUCATION—not to the federal government, the central planners.
