Try reading the USER REVIEWS for DO NOT TRACK ME (Online Privacy Protection) on the Chrome Web Store.
You can see them if you click on the IMAGE of the program, rather than the “FREE” (download) button.
Read them and see what you think.
Spent a few minutes on the reviews. All the negatives I saw were complaints about the MaskMyEmailAddress part of it, which doesn’t bother me personally. I did see anything regarding privacy concerns nor sending results to Google per your post.
Also there was talk about a lot of popups. The only one I experience is the email address blocker so I suspect that is just exaggeration.
