I must admit that I hate McClintock. I did not like the way in which Maureen O’Hara was treated towards the end of the film, which included stripping the lady of her dress, and spanking her.
It is a tribute scene to one from The Quiet Man. Apparently you are unfamiliar with the numerous films these two made together. Each and every one was in part Taming of the Shrew
