Concealed carry and the murder rate there are probably not connected. Most of the murders involve gang members taking out other gangs.

They can’t legally carry in the first place.

I think you hit on it, the cold weather kept people inside.

Low crime was due to polar vortex... so now the baseline will be set artificially low by the left so any murdering in Chicago in subsequent quarters will be played up like a huge spike, which is will “only be reduced” by confiscation of firearms from the lawful.

The irony here is rich.

CPD has been cooking the books for the past two decades. Rahm and Superintendent McStreetlightAssassin somehow want to prove that the ‘doing more with less’ and ‘smart-policing’ dodges will actually work against the beast on the streets of Chicago. So crime stats magically go down.

This, now that CCW is available, and after the city had spent 100s of millions fighting it.

Sorry, to try to justify what you are doing now seems to make you look an absolute fool for what you did ten minutes ago. Law Enforcement in Chicago is Insane.
