I’ve noticed the FReeper Division of the Red Army marching about on FR since this thing started, too. What strikes me is that these are not new members but instead show sign-up dates as far back as 1998.

In reading their collective posts that denounce the actual Ukrainians (as opposed to Russian colonists living in Ukraine) for overthrowing a corrupt and murderous government I am left to wonder how they’d react if Obama came after FReepers or Tea Partiers in the same way? Would they oppose an overthrow of a violent and corrupt Obama regime? Do they oppose the language in our Declaration of Independence that speaks to the right of people to replace corrupt and tyrannical governments with governments more responsive to the people?

In short, I am often left wondering why some of these people are FReepers when they champion authoritarian statism?

How does that quote go? Oh, yes...

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

I keep thinking the same thing. Are they that enamored of Putin, these Putinistas, that they’re confused about what he stands for? Yes, I know he’s not Obama. But we all disagree with Obama’s policies and actions. Putin is an autocrat and a phony Christian. Do these “FReepers” really favor the law of the jungle as determined by a former KGB Colonel? I think so.
