Agreed, sad to realize Hank Aaron is so ignorant.

Conservative opposition to Liberalism/Socialism is not based on race, we've opposed every Liberal White President's policies Mr. Aaron!

Saw him interviewed on Japanese television some years ago. He was something of a local folk hero for a few years because of his numerous public appearances with Saduharu Oh, the all-time home run kind of Japanese baseball.

The interviewer was nice and gentle, but I felt Aaron spent an inordinate amount of time talking about all the hate mail he received prior to breaking Babe Ruth's home run record. He also said he had kept it all these years.

I concluded that this is a man who wallows in self-pity and gives the type of yahoos who sent him that mail a lot of satisfaction.

I think of all the other great black players who came up about the same time he did (Ernie Banks, Roberto Clemente, Larry Doby, Billy Williams and others), doubtless experienced that same type of discrimination, but never allowed it to consume them.
