I dislike the BLM. I once worked a few months for the USFS, but the Forest Service was a very different organization in 1979. I loathe the environmental laws Congress has passed, and their refusal to rein in the BLM, EPA & USFS.
However, this is a pretty straightforward case: the rancher refuses to pay for grazing permits, and has argued in court that he is not a US citizen. This is NOT the place for conservatives to rally!
What’s the BLM so upset about? I’ve never heard of a cow eating turtles much less endangered ones.
Heard on Glenn Beck radio show that the rancher owes 1.1 million in fees, but it costs the government over 3 million to remove the cattle.
It is not straightforward, as anyone who researches it a tiny bit knows. 95% of Nevada is owned by Feds. What more do they want?

This dispute has nothing to do with “cattle”............after the last 5 years of Obama, Holder, Pelosi, Reid, Biden, Czars, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, IRS, Solyndra and on and on endlessly, AMERICANS ARE JUST PISSED!!!!!
But the Fed govt allows and actually supports & welcomes alien illegals who are not US citizens TO BUY LAND & Houses IN USA.
As far as LAND goes, illegal aliens have the gov t support.

*UPDATE: Those who say Bundy is a “deadbeat” are making inaccurate claims.
Bundy has in fact paid fees to Clark County, Nevada in an arrangement pre-dating the BLM.
The BLM arrived much later, changed the details of the setup without consulting with Bundy — or any other rancher — and then began systematically driving out cattle and ranchers. Bundy refused to pay BLM, especially after they demanded he reduce his heard’s head count down to a level that would not sustain his ranch.
Bundy OWNS the water and forage rights to this land. He paid for these rights. He built fences, established water ways, and constructed roads with his own money, with the approval of Nevada and BLM.
When BLM started using his fees to run him off the land and harassing him, he ceased paying. So should BLM reimburse him for managing the land and for the confiscation of his water and forage rights?
