This is very confusing - but this is what I have pieced together so far:
1) This is state land and a state lease agreement
2) The feds got involved to protect the turtles
3) The ranchers proved that a cow would never stop on a turtle - they see them and go around.
4) The feds take turtles when they are found and place them in a reserve, but it is so full they have started killing them
5) The ranchers stopped paying land lease to the state once the land grab started and are approx. $1 M behind (which is the reason they lost in court).
6) Harry Reid wants the land for his son, who has agreed to buy it and use it for a solar project with China

Once that came out, the conflict was ended.

Thank you. This is what I have understood as well.

Is this still state land? If it is who in the state is agreeing to sell it and has it been offered for purchase by sealed bid?
