Shocking Allegations Show Harry Reid, Chinese Company Behind Nevada Ranch Standoff

The ranch, which has been in Cliven Bundy’s family for more than a century, is ground zero for a growing showdown between federal authorities and individual rights activists.

As a family in Clark County, Nev. continues to face an onslaught of heavily armed federal agents determined to kick them off of their ranch, reports have surfaced that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid might be behind the entire ordeal.

The ranch, which has been in Cliven Bundy’s family for more than a century, is ground zero for a growing showdown between federal authorities and individual rights activists. Despite attempting to silence protesters by limiting them to so-called “First Amendment areas,” law enforcement personnel, legislators, and militia members are heading to the site in droves to express their outrage over the Bureau of Land Management’s show of force.

In an apparent effort to cover its tracks, the BLM has reportedly removed documents from its website showing that the move to kick the Bundys and their cattle off of the land was at least in part due to the fact that their presence impeded development of solar energy on the land.

"No Federal Marshals, No court order!"

Police with dogs and ranchers with cell-phone cameras...this sad incident was won with little cameras...reporting the truth at that moment. (Video)

Whatever the increment of land was, or how they got it has some relevance. But, the grazing lease associated with that land also has greater relevance. If it takes a 100 acres per cow......................

So when a ranch(however big or small) sells, the associated grazing lease adds to the price of the land that I being sold, even tho the lease is not owned by the seller or the buyer. Because the lease has been in place for so long, the lease has become semi-perpetual, or as Bundy has said, ancestral.

Did a court order BLM to seize the cattle, or was that a threat issued by the court pending further action?

From the article:
"The ruling again would allow BLM law enforcement agents to remove feral cattle and cattle with Bundy’s brand from the Gold Butte area, which has been designated as habitat reserved for the protected desert tortoise."

Bundy claimed he didn't recognize the Fed's claim.

No friend of the BLM here, just trying to air everything so we don't get blind-sided.

I agree. Good day for America. Sad it happened. The BLM had no authority to do what they did. Thats why they retreated.

These were questionable arbitrary rules in the first place and this is how the environmentalists role. You don’t change the rules in the middle of the game. We give too much power to political hacks to administratively change laws for some politicians gains. That is why we are calling B.S. on the turtle gig.

Oregon has been 20 years in the federal death grip with our natural resources. Under Clinton they closed all federal, state and county lands to logging to save the spotted owl.

Well the county lands were given to the counties over 80 years ago designated to to pay for their county governments. Under the spotted owl deal, Clinton and the dems guaranteed payments of at least 50 million per year to help close the gap when the county has no resources to pay judges, juries, public defenders, sheriffs, jailers, etc. Guess what our county commissioners have to do every year when it comes up in the budget in DC, fly there and beg and beg to give us the 50 million handout. Meanwhile thousands of raptors, owls, eagles, pelicans, osprey's are being bassomated by the environmentalist wind mills, the same ones who shut down the timber industry to save an owl.

The people of Oregon who inhabit all that red space on the election maps are held hostage by those little dots of blue on the coast. Unfortunately, the rest of the country joined you in 2008. If we don’t take it back it will only get worse.

Well it appears they got their court order from their judge.

Now let them enforce it.

This reminds me of the TV movie from 1987 Kenny Rogers as The Gambler, Part III: The Legend Continues, with Kenny Rogers and Bruce Boxleitner.

In that movie, Charles Durning plays a corrupt Senator who is trying to run Indians off of their land by stealing cattle and blaming the Indians, because he made a sweetheart deal for the land from the knowledge that a railroad was going to be built across it. He hid his involvement behind a phony stock company, and hired an assassin to kill anyone who got in his way.

Fiction in 1987, fact today?

This could have nothing to do with the fact that Neil Kornze, the Director of the BLM, was a former senior advisor to Harry Reid, now could it? Of course not. This is just a coincidence, where in the politics of DC, they eat power and influence for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. /sarc/

Nothing to see here folks, let’s move along.....

My lord, the miss representation of facts in this article is simply outrageous.

Bundy only owns about 150 acres. The rest of his ranch is leased from the US Government. The 600,000 acres that the cattle are grazing on DOES NOT BELONG to Bundy.

According to the link below the Chinese project was canceled last year because its developers were unable to find a utility that would buy the power the plant was supposed to generate.
