Reid and his oldest son, Rory, are both involved in an effort by a Chinese energy giant, ENN Energy Group, to build a $5 billion solar farm and panel manufacturing plant in the southern Nevada desert.

Reid has been one of the project's most prominent advocates, helping recruit the company during a 2011 trip to China and applying his political muscle on behalf of the project in Nevada. His son, a lawyer with a prominent Las Vegas firm that is representing ENN, helped it locate a 9,000-acre (3,600-hectare) desert site that it is buying well below appraised value from Clark County, where Rory Reid formerly chaired the county commission.

The senator has supported numerous clean energy projects in Nevada. Rory Reid cites energy as one of his specialty areas at the law firm.

The two Reids deny discussing the ENN project.

"I have never discussed the project with my father or his staff," said Rory Reid. Kristen Orthman, a spokeswoman for the senator, said he had not discussed the project with his son.

The Langfang, China-based ENN Energy Group hopes to build what would be the largest solar energy complex in America. The site chosen with Rory Reid's guidance is in tiny Laughlin, Nevada, a gambling town of 7,300 along the Colorado River, 90 miles south of Las Vegas.

County officials have said that they were so thrilled to recruit a company to the area, with the prospect of thousands of new local jobs, that they were eager to negotiate.

ENN is headed by Chinese energy tycoon Wang Yusuo, who made a fortune estimated by Forbes at $2.2 billion distributing natural gas in China. Wang escorted Reid and a delegation of nine other U.S. senators on a tour of the company's clean energy operations in Langfang,

The land in question over Bundy is owned by the state not the BLM either. I am not aware of the BLM being able to own anything. Are they not oversight? Both of these deals are offensive.

Ben, here is the point. I don't care if Sharon Angle was a terrible candidate, non photogenic, wooden, a kook, a nut, far right etc. etc. She is not as big a criminal as Harry Reid. It is up to the electorate to inform themselves and either elect the lesser of two evils (if it comes down to that) or live with the consequences.

The whole country, in fact the entire free world, is living with the result of an uninformed electorate.

In paragraph 4 it says "from Clark County"

In the 8th paragraph from the bottom, it says "Commissioners approved the deal", meaning county commissioners.

You are right, the BLM doesn't own any land. The land is owned by the federal govt and the BLM administers/manages the land

The agencies that manage the federal lands like BLM and Forest service are called land agencies.

The state also owns land within the state, but not Bundy's land. The counties own land within the state, but not Bundy's land.

BLM is oversight and land management/ The Federal Govt (maybe via the Dept of the Interior) owns these Nevada lands. 60% of Nevada

####################
The majority of public lands in the United States are held in trust for the American people by the federal government and managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the United States National Park Service, Bureau of Reclamation, or the Fish and Wildlife Service under the Department of the Interior, or the United States Forest Service under the Department of Agriculture. Other federal agencies that manage public lands include the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the United States Department of Defense, which includes the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.[4]

I heard Mr. Bundy on Hannity’s radio program Friday say specifically that he paid the fees for the land to the state because they own it. Now you say differently. But I heard Bundy.
