One of my parents was a (legal) Mexican immigrant, and I can tell you that you're wrong.

You can't do immigration out of Latin America, in the manner that we've been doing it, - every single year, and not wind up with a voting block that skews to the left.

Year in, and year out, the majority of Latin American immigrants come from the lower end of the socioeconomic ladder.

And those type of Hispanics, both here as well as throughout Latin America itself, wind up voting for left-of-center/liberal candidates on election day.
