“Despite all the opposition, it is time for a third party.”

I am first and foremost a social/morale conservative. When the GOP drops even the “pretense” of social conservatism...then it is time for me to go elsewhere. Ronald Reagan was once a Democrat and said of that party, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, it left me.” That is how I feel. The GOP has left me.

Plus, when libertarians (libertines) like Ron Paul are actually considered potential serious candidates for the GOP nomination....that also means the party has left me.

In the ill advised move to appeal to a “broader” group, the GOP is going to lose its socially conservative base.

I have trouble seeing how they think they’re now going to gain enough liberal voters to make up for the exodus of social conservatives. The true libs are going to stay Democrat no matter what. Why would a lib vote for the offbrand liberal party when they can vote for the name brand liberal party instead?

Ditto. The Nevada GOP doesn’t want Social Conservatives vote.

Last, this won’t stop the Nevada media from asking its state GOP politicians abortion questions.
