Say what you will about former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, but don’t you dare accuse of him of being modest.
The New York Times reported Tuesday that Bloomberg plans to spend $50 million of his estimated $31 billion fortune this year to combat the National Rifle Association. Speaking of his advocacy of liberal causes like gun-control and preventing New Yorkers from enjoying “Big Gulp” sodas, Bloomberg told the Times, reportedly with a grin, “I am telling you if there is a God, when I get to heaven I’m not stopping to be interviewed.”
“I am heading straight in,” he went on. “I have earned my place in heaven. It’s not even close.”
In pursuing his self-professed heavenly mission to fight gun rights, Bloomberg says he plans to be ruthless in opposing politicians who refuse to fall in line on the issue.
“They say, ‘We don’t care. We’re going to go after you,’ ” he told the Times, speaking of the NRA. “ ‘If you don’t vote with us we’re going to go after your kids and your grandkids and your great-grandkids. And we’re never going to stop.”
“We’ve got to make them afraid of us,” he reasoned.
But as the Times notes, “Mr. Bloomberg has already spent millions of dollars trying to persuade members of Congress to support enhanced background check laws with virtually nothing to show for it.”
The $50 million dollar commitment, however, takes his anti-gun advocacy to the next level. As a comparison, the Times reports that the NRA spent less than half as much on its gun rights advocacy last year.

In 1 Corinthians 9:27, Paul says the following about the possibility of even himself losing his salvation:
“but I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”
In 1 Corinthians 10:12, Paul warns us all about smug overconfidence regarding our salvation:
“Therefore let any one who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall.”

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is willing to spend $50 million this year to foster a grassroots movement to take on the gun lobby, The New York Times reported.
Everytown for Gun Safety, a new umbrella group, will amalgamate Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. The idea is to apply some of the same single-minded, single-issue zeal used by the National Rifle Association to make the pro-gun control case.
Bloomberg said gun opponents need to be willing to target Democrats who are soft on gun control.
The Bloomberg-funded group, modeled partly after Mothers Against Drunk Driving, wants to turn women into a political force against guns.
“Right now, women, when they go to the polls, they vote on abortion, they vote on jobs, they vote on healthcare,” Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action, told the Times. “We want one of those things to be gun violence prevention.”
This mutt actually believes he deserves heaven because he’s amassed billions. I t doesn’t work that way.
God will have the last word, and unless Bloomy’s attitude changes completely, those words will be “Depart from Me. I never knew you.”
Wow, this idiot thinks he's going to tell the Almighty what to do when he gets up there! One day God will judge us all, there's no escaping this, but of course I totally expect facts like that to escape morons like Bloomberg.
That's a scary quite right there, I'm going to have to make sure my kids avoid public school aka liberal indoctrination centers.

Be careful about turning such passages of God’s love into universal statements of God’s love. We must read them in context. Romans 5:8 has reference to the elect of God, those with peace with God who were justified by faith (see verse 1), not all mankind.
He’ll have to pass by Joseph Smith first and his passport better be in order.

Look for any future gun control laws to land right back to the fed courts, going all the way to the USSC court.

Which is why I’ve found moral arguments more persuasive (than pragmatic argument) with leftists I’ve argued with. They don’t see that one coming.
You'd be hard pressed to come up with a more definitive expression of self-righteousness.
