In a better time, we would have the strength to convince Russia to back down. As it is now, we’re going to end up looking really stupid and weak. This is no good for any American. The more we try to do, the worse we’ll look.

If I were Russia, I would encourage America to send every bit of aid I could muster to lost cause Ukraine. We'll spend ourselves into oblivion and gain nothing.
