Digging out the roots would be difficult with all the vines, except in winter maybe....we have poisonous snakes here, so I would not be blindly moving around kudzu leafs. And I would think a backhoe might damage a lot of the roots...I’m sure there is a way, but I’m not a farmer.

I wasn’t being a smart aleck, it’s just that an intended food for animals has become uncontrollable for some and people abandon places that get overgrown and it’s a real issue to clear the land.

Some use kudzu for salads too. Hopefully a solution for it’s roots use in masse can be established. I know certain trees were bought from lands years ago without buying the land, so maybe kudzu fields could be bought and the land returned to the owner to replant in normal grass or trees.

The technology for fracking will only get better and better so to the efficiency of vehicles, industry, home heating and lighting.
Finally ? I can get a 60 Watt equivalent LED light at 10 Watts for under $ 5.
