LONDON – In a nearly empty courtroom at the Southwerk Crown Court by the historic London Bridge, a hearing took place in a criminal case that not only has national security implications for the United Kingdom, but, curiously, is woven into the increasingly bizarre fabric of the controversy over Barack Obama’s presidential eligibility.

When it came his time to speak, defendant Michael Shrimpton, a middle-aged London barrister by profession and self-proclaimed intelligence expert, politely issued to the judge a series of interrogatories that made clear he plans to launch a vigorous defense, representing himself before the court.

There are always things in the past they have over looked.

Too bad that you still don’t know the difference between the word “a” and the word “the”.

Like I said...

It can't be "the", if like you said, it is one of many.

Try looking at it this way, Great Britain has had many Kings and Queens. They are “historic,” even the current monarch.
It’s the same with the London Bridge(s).

his·tor·ic
histôrik,-stär-/
adjective
1. famous or important in history, or potentially so.
“we are standing on a historic site”

Right now it is ‘the’ because it’s ‘the’ only one.

Actually your incorrect, as your no doubt aware, there are 3 layers to hair, toe, and finger nails, The root of each can deliver usable DNA, the Root of Hair and nails is connected to the blood stream and as such yields DNA of the owner, I do agree that the cuticle and hair shafts are useless, except for ID of hair color...

Yes.

I was under the impression, based on the context used, that it was the keratinized hair and nail tissue that was being discussed. If one was to go to a hair salon, and pick up cut hair or cuticle's they would have keratin with no nuclear material with DNA.

Like you said, “a”. Yes, it might be “a” historic site, but “the” historic London Bridge is located in Arizona.

Nope, you are wrong again.

Once again you’ve wandered off course.

The relevant article mentioned the historic London Bridge in England.

The one in Arizona was never mentioned.

Try and keep up.

Now THAT I can agree with.
There are approximately thirty four bridges in London that span the River Thames but only one is named “London Bridge.” It is the name rather than the current 1973 structure itself that is historic.

No, it is you who is lost, not me. Once again, the article stated:

"In a nearly empty courtroom at the Southwerk Crown Court by the historic London Bridge..."

which is now located in Arizona.

The one in Arizona was never mentioned.

but indeed it was mentioned, since "the historic London Bridge" has been located in Arizona for over 40 years. It spans the historic Colorado River, which also goes through the historic Grand Canyon.

The writer of the article most likely meant to refer to the new London Bridge or the historic area that the newer bridge is located in, but that is not what he wrote. He didn't write "a" historic bridge. He wrote "the historic London Bridge" and once again that bridge is located in Arizona, whether you like it or not.

Once again, their bridge, their ‘historic’.

They can call it what they want, or describe it how they want.

The present one was built over 40 years ago. For some people that’s ancient history. Thus ‘historic’.

They don't describe the bridge as "historic". They refer to it as a "modern" bridge.

For some people that’s ancient history. Thus ‘historic’.

Maybe to a child, like you, but maybe someday you might grow up and learn something.

Considering the author can’t even spell Southwark correctly, I’d not fuss his description of the bridge.

I also noticed the spelling and was waiting to see if anyone would ever mention it. ;-)
