Malaysia Airlines Flight MH 370: Eighth Drone Mission to Sea Bed Fails to Find Wreckage

The eighth underwater drone mission to search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has failed to find any evidence of plane wreckage on the sea bed.

The Bluefin-21 submarine employed for the task has so far screened over two-thirds of the narrowed search area.

The underwater hunt is expected to finish within this week,

Since its fourth mission, the submarine was reprogrammed to scour the seas 604 feet below its permissible limit of 14,800 feet. The part of the Indian Ocean narrowed down for the search is deeper than the previously estimated range at some places,

"The [underwater drone] reached a record depth of 4,695 metres [15,404 feet]... Diving to such depths does carry with it some residual risk

Meanwhile, the oil slick discovered near the search area by ADV Ocean Shield turned out to be unrelated to the missing Malaysian jet, as it was later confirmed that it was not hydraulic fluid from aircraft engine.

What are the odds that, not only did it stray far from its intended course, but the plane then landed in the deepest part of the ocean, deeper than anyone ever expected?

I don’t think so. I think the signals were fake, possibly by a sub or other ship, just for a while and then disappears. Something is grossly wrong with this whole incident.

Information has conflicted throughout this “hunt” for mh 370. Editor-surveyor just added another theory to check out.

I never liked the “turned south” theory, even though I would have been more than glad to have it be true. As I recall, they kept saying that the mathematical model always required an opposite theory of north on some kind of arc from north to south.

Then little tidbits of satellite photos led everyone to the Indian Ocean even though none of those ever worked out. Then there were the pings that today’s article points out only possibly could have been from a black box.

The area of search is 18,000 sq miles and they are only able to cover 35 sq miles a day. That will take a year and a half.

The area they are currently concentrating on is a 120 sq mi circle where they believe one of the black box pings came from.

I often wonder who really took that plane and the people on it...

I guess I need tinfoil but if someone wanted to make people believe the plane went down in that area and there was no wreckage to be found...I’m sure it is possible to send out a noise like a black box ping...

You all laughed at Don Lemon’s black hole theory. Who’s laughing now?

Flight800 cover up. We still do not know what happened... and no one seems really interested...

Still interested and overcome with deja vu over MH370 (and stated so in several other comments)...

It took over 70 years to find the Titanic in over 12,000 feet of water, even then we at least knew the general location.

The article does support its assertion that the data wee faked, by noting:

“The originally posted photo seems to have been clumsily faked using the free software “Picasa”, which left an indication in the EXIF data, adds extra “Photoshop” metadata, and stores the GPS data in a different format."

A “Black Box” with a weak battery could easly have “fallen” out of one of the many military helicopters in just that special place.

After Waco and Ruby Ridge, I know how the system works.

The photo that was examined in the first article lacked those characteristics. The one they used for their spoof was a new generation they made for that purpose.

How stupid are we supposed to be?

This is definitely a possibility.

Which would explain the US cover up.

You are not going to hear a ping two miles down, sorry.

Not one piece of floating debris. And planes have covered a good deal of that area already.

The absence of floating debris could mean that the plane was ditched at that location by the pilot and the fuselage sunk in one piece with all the floatable cushions et al trapped within.

What makes this a high probability is that the 4 ELTs onboard that are supposed to activate at a certain G force when the plane crashes never did activate.

There may not have been a crash — just a water landing followed by an intact sinking.

Hopefully the authorities are checking out any vessels that were in the area that morning and just what they might have been doing there.

Likely killed them off by hypoxia.

It ain’t there.

I don’t think it’s anywhere in the ocean. I think aboveground is the place to look. I say this not because of any special knowledge about planes, flight patterns, etc., but because the behavior of pilot and co-pilot are consistent with neither suicide nor standard terrorism. Usually when people want to kill themselves, and take a lot of other people with them at the same time, there’s a note, a manifesto, SOME sort of information they’ve posted or left where it can be found to “justify” their actions and in their minds, make people realize just how heroic and/or downtrodden they really were. Almost the same for terrorism: Terrorists want the *credit.* If the pilot really did down his place as retribution for the downfall of his political hero back home, wouldn’t that have been written down somewhere, or recorded in a home video?

Instead there is only silence on these fronts . . . and secrecy. To my mind, that spells a big fat SECRET and I think that the secret is that this plane was taken, hidden, and is being repurposed. At some future date, I fear we may hear a whole lot more about this plane.
