ALEX Salmond is on the brink of securing a historic victory in the referendum, according to an exclusive poll suggesting Yes Scotland needs a swing of just over 2 per cent to win independence.
A landmark ICM survey for todays Scotland on Sunday reveals a decline in the No vote from 46 per cent to 42 per cent over the past month. Over the same period, the Yes vote has remained steady at 39 per cent, resulting in a significant tightening of the gap between the two sides.
When the 19 per cent dont knows are excluded from the equation, the No vote stands at 52 per cent, with 48 per cent in favour of Scotland going it alone. This is the highest level of Yes support to be recorded by an independently commissioned opinion poll.

Except that polling history tells us that the undecideds tend to vote status quo.
So they’ll go from being part of the UK to being part of the EU....some “Independence.”
Scotland is where the labor party gets its majority. It will be laborite socialist stronghold. But then the rest of Britain could very well have a majority Tory country. At least until immigrgtion demographics kick in.

A “yes” means no going back, ever.

70% of Scots get their household income from the state either through employment or benefits and tax to pay them comes mostly from the populous southeast of England.
Let Glasgow and Edinburgh try to keep each other afloat with a stream of IOUs.
If Scotland becomes an independent country they will fall somewhere between Cuba and Venezuela on the world political ideology scale.
The results of the YouGov survey, which questioned more than 1,000 Welsh adults on how they would vote, found that 62% answered No when asked if Scotland should be independent, with just 16% saying Yes.

As a Brit, this is sad, but as frequent visitor to Scotland I say good luck to them. With any luck they'll get their Socialism good'n'hard and come back to their senses.
What’s the point? They will join the EU anyways and raise taxes sky high to fund their social programs unless they think London is going to keep paying for it
