Consider the source. Sounds like propaganda. The USS Donald Cook.

From the American side:

On 12 April 2014, the USS Donald Cook was "buzzed", 12 times by a Russian Su-24 bomber jet. According to U.S. military officials the crew aboard the Donald Cook made several attempts to radio the Russian warplane asking the pilot what his intentions were and sending warnings to remain at a safe distance, but the Russian pilot did not respond.

According to U.S. sources it appears the plane was not armed.

While American military officials consider the incident provocative they say the encounter ended without incident.

Hardly sounds like they jammed it or anything like that, just a "buzz".

The article is such BS. . .not even high quality BS.

Sheesh. . .screens going ‘blank’ and flying over the deck. . riiiiight. . . .good Lord, who would fall for that crap.

Besides the insanity of the outrageous and false claims, why would anyone supposedly activate their wartime EW settings and expose their bands, rates, ranges, etc. . .just to buzz a ship?

Gawd. . .such BS.
