I was here on FR long before January 2009, but I did not frequent Mormon-bashing threads, so I must have missed that.

I am aware that Mormons purport to “baptize” ancestors of Mormon converts, and even of persons who are not ancestors of Mormon converts but whose descendants may, in theory, convert to the LDS church one day. But as I believe that the only true baptism is done in the name of Jesus Christ by the Catholic Church, I pay no heed to what Mormons do or purport to do. You obviously share my opinion that what a Mormon priest does or does not do has no bearing upon your relationship with God, so why should it matter what they do, whether before or after January 2009?

And, more to the point, what does that have to do with Mia Love clinching the GOP nomination for Congress?

the popes were not ancestors of Mormon converts..

The Jewish children in the Nazi concentration camps had no Mormon descendants..

Jesus Christ is not the ancestor of Mormon converts..

But I also think that a CATHOLIC priest has little bearing as well.
