Actually, it was AC. Edison wanted to prove how dangerous alternating current was, as developed by his rival George Westinghouse, was.
“And I am supposed to care about a little suffering from on his part exactly why?”
The Asspress loves these monsters. Anywhere evil turns up, they applaud it.
***Thomas Edisons infamous DC electrocution,***
Edison used AC power to show that Westinghouse’s proposed AC power grid was too deadly and dangerous! The victim did smoke and was not killed till several tries.
Edison wanted a DC power grid.
That is the fastest most humane way to kill someone.
We use succ's ( Succinylcholine ) because it doesn't last long but works fast.
FWIW-
If lethal injection is good enough for beloved, innocent pets, it’s better than killers deserve.
We know how to gently put down our dogs and cats. All of this is rather dumb though. We know how to execute people....hanging or firing squad.
I just don’t have an sympathy for the suffering of one who is sentenced to death for murder. I know that isn’t very Christian of me but it is something I guess I have to work on.
Whadda ya mean, botched? Edouard Delacroix is dead.
sounds like it worked, to me.
pneumatic stun hammer. just like that guy had in fargo.
Just use the same drugs Kevorkian used in ‘assisted suicides.’ Liberals didn’t seem to find that inhumane.
Yes he chose that method. I remember it actually and I thought he made the right decision.
Nitrogen asphyxiation is also good.
http://pandawhale.com/post/29421/what-bill-gates-learned-from-thomas-edison "By the way, Edison was not a great human being. He was greedy, petty, and an absolute jerk to Tesla: Simply put Edison (with a few other moguls on his side) didnt want to see Teslas Alternate Current succeed, because it posed a (fiscal) threat to the viability of his Direct Current (which Tesla had previously souped up for him). A bitter public battle took place, with George Westinghouse of the Westinghouse Company on Teslas side. Edison sought to use spineless scare tactics to convince the public his AC units werent safe. In order to prove this fact, he had a number of animals electrocuted, including a circus elephant (which was to be put to death for killing a some people). Ultimately, Tesla won this War of Currents, only because he indeed had the better power mechanism. Although the current of success swept into a place of high regard, he forewent obscene wealth so as toin a show of unprecedented humilitysave the Westinghouse Company (which would have gone broke with the royalty payments). Instead, Tesla made a few grand by just selling his patents outright. Tesla was a good man. Edison was ambitious but he was not a good man.
And dogs! Don't forget the ravenous wild dogs!
It works! I've seen it!!
Right! A killer dies and there is a scream from the huggers. Upside down society, he died and so what. He got executed and it might have been botched but what did the killer do to get there?
Pancuronium bromide drip for twenty minutes should do it don’t ya think?
Wrapped with several hog carcasses and you got a plan!
Shakespeare too.
