Only when Western leaders come to the realization that the values and institutions that emanated from the Enlightenment are not compatible with Islamic culture, will policies and relations become more rational and effective. They are not “just like us”. Also Westerners, particularly Americans do not realize the degree of antipathy that Muslims have against the West.
Unfortunately, a lot of that antipathy is deserved. I share their antipathy to Miley Cyrus, modern “art,” the pro-homo agenda, abortion, etc. Yet, Muslims themselves support the leftwing political parties in the West that promote these values.
