I’ve been talking on the phone while in my vehicle since the start of these things. Not once has it almost crashed me, not once have I almost ran someone over. These hands free things now are far more distracting. I’ll continue to be safe my own way.

Count your blessings. I ride a motorcycle every sunny day to work. I have seen too many close calls and accidents happen by drivers on there cell phones - some even texting!
I’m guessing other drivers around you may have a lower opinion of your ability to talk and drive than do you.
Hang up and drive.
