The stupidity of this statement is that it assumes that Yanukovych's party, which condemned Yanukovych, is pro-annexation. They are not.
And in what world do you believe a poll, in a city under some form of revolt, with internet mostly down, where everyone is armed except for the person being polled?
Who says their internet is down? I've been reading reports from Ukrainian news sources, Russian news sources, and people on the ground, sent from these very cities, posted on the internet. What evidence do you have that they are isolated? Furthermore, the "Separatists" are an extreme minority. The problem is that they are armed. Not everyone else is armed. The city is not in revolt. The city has buildings which have been taken over by Russian GRU and checkpoints by bandits which get periodically chased off which effectively attempt to hold an entire city hostage. That is why the Pro-Ukrainian protest, which had 5,000 people in it, was recently broken up with thugs wielding bats, throwing fireworks, who also kidnapped people. You can see the video on YouTube of all places. That's not a city under revolt. That's a city being held captive by terrorists.
Think about it before you invoke some poll. It looks utterly retarded.

The Russian Army did a poor job in both Chechnya and in Afghanistan. Russian Peacekeeping forces in the former Yugoslavia had a reputation as dopers and their “range work” consisted of shooting from the hip with cigs in their mouths. The Red Army is not what it was in 1944.
