Not just liberals are offended. Also offended are people who think Baptism is a sacred thing, instituted by and dedicated to You-Know-Who, and don't like to see it profaned--- and it's even worse if Palin thinks the nexus between "baptism" and "torture" is, as her defenders say, "just a joke."

Look, neither Ed Peters nor Deacon Kandra (quoted) are liberals, and as for myself, you may judge as you wish, but the only reason I voted in the 2008 election at all, was to cast my ballot for Sarah Palin and hope for something to providentially knock out McCain. (No a death-wish. Just benign like, say, something to do with his larynx.)

Of course I'll allow her a foot-fault. But if she's smart, she won't do it again.

No, just liberals are offended. Whether or not they claim Christianity is besides the point. Some of them may wish to remember the crusaders, Jesus flipping tables in the temple, David and a host of other actions.

Shrinking violet Christians are welcome to believe as they wish. But it does not change the fact that ‘being offended’ at something like this is patently ridiculous. “Baptized” isn’t a word that ‘some’ Christians have exclusive rights to. They should stop acting like it is because the rest of us who subscribe to Christianity do not remotely agree with that interpretation.

Nor will we bow down to some PC definition of it.
