Let’s see....My first job out of college was a nanny. All of the American nannies I knew had some college and about 90% had a degree. Recently I networked with a prominent and very successful person in my working world and she too was a nanny straight out of college. That would have been in the 70’s.

It was one of the best things I did for myself. I didn’t have the greatest time in college and this allowed me to step back and retool in my free time and at the same time save A LOT of money. I worked for a good family and met some really great kids and other people who helped me along the way.

In other words, the nanny trade has been around since families have been around and college educated nannies have been around since colleges have been around.
