Family of teen in ‘affluenza’ case to pay paralyzed victim $2M

The family of a North Texas teenager who killed four people in a drunken-driving wreck has agreed to pay more than $2 million to the family of a boy who was paralyzed in the accident, according to court documents detailing the first approved settlement in the case, MyFoxDFW.com.

Only $2 million for someone of high school age, quadrapalegic for life, thats peanuts.
Maybe the settlement(s) was predicated on the family not declaring bankruptcy to insure payments versus nothing in a bankruptcy.

The articles said that the insurance company is paying the two million. Unless the articles is wrong (and when has the media ever been wrong?), they will pay nothing of the two million.

That’s chickensh-t money for this. The rest of his life will be a long time to be paralyzed. Meanwhile, little Lord Fauntleroy will be laughing and playing and dancing.

I believe the story is false and misleading. Other sources say that it is the insurance companies, not the low life parents, who will pay.
