FBI investigating Bundy Ranch showdown, Clark County sheriff's officials say
Fox ^ | 5/9/14

Clark County sheriff's officials say they've been interviewed by the FBI as part of an investigation into armed supporters of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy.

Assistant Sheriff Joe Lombardo told KLAS-TV that federal agents have opened an investigation into the conduct of supporters of Bundy who reportedly pointed guns at officers during a standoff at his ranch April 12.

Bundy, a states' rights advocate who refuses to acknowledge the authority of the federal government, owes more than $1 million in fees and penalties for letting his cattle use government land over the past 20 years.

Last month, the Bureau of Land Management stopped trying to round up his cattle after a showdown with hundreds of Bundy supporters, some of them armed.

Since the standoff, Bundy went from being proclaimed a patriot by some for his resistance to a racist for comments he made about blacks being better off under slavery.

Bundy supporters have denied pointing weapons at authorities and say that BLM rangers were the ones pointing guns. Lombardo said it's expected the alleged behavior would be the subject of a criminal investigation.

"The federal authorities are conducting an investigation and I am pretty confident it is going to go into the future," Lombardo told KLAS-TV.

Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie confirmed the investigation in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He said agents will interview every law enforcement officer who was present during the showdown.

It fascinates me to no end that the Feral Government seems to have buckets and buckets of money to spend on an investigation like this.

Where does their Endless Cash come from? I mean, an investigation this size isn't cheap.

The government is looking for a way to slo mo the persecution of the filthy Patriots so that it doesn’t provoke what caused the standoff in the first place. Good luck with that, man...

I remember Waco, those people didn’t deserve to die at the hands of gubermint jack booted thugs.
The next Waco is just around the corner and both sides promise to have plenty of fatherless children.
Very sad and different times indeed.

0bama. California.

“Here’s the word for word quote of the president’s most recent declaration against any and all who might disagree with his Big Government, no questions asked, agenda. They were spoken at a big money, California fundraiser:

0:

The truth of the matter is, is that the reason that we have not seen Washington address the core concerns of too many working families around the country is that you have a party that has been captive to an ideology, to a theory of economics, that says those folks, they’re on their own and government doesn’t have an appropriate role to play.

And our goal and our task in this midterm has to be to break that grip, that particular view, that particular wrongheaded vision this country has so that we can get back to the business of investing in the American people and investing in America’s future.”

Bitter clingers, anyone?

Yep. If I was there yes, I would have checked my sight picture through the optics. The BLM can just get over it. Though I would have been in cover, not on camera, and I damn-sure wouldn’t talk about it to some investigator.

Seems to me the government should be afraid of the people. Looks like they are not and are willing to kill or jail those who are not afraid.

Since when does the employee (government) set the rules?

Yes, obviously - but how does a country $17 trillion in hock keep getting to write Large Checks that they can't cash?

Beertender! Another round of Investigation Overtime for my FBI pals here! Put it on my tab!

I've wondered if this guy was a plant. From other photos you can see that he has an unscoped AK and is, what? 400+ yds from the feds and would be shooting over friendlies? Unless he's experienced shooting that rifle with open sights at that distance and angle he could dropping rounds right amongst the good guys.

Also from other photos it appeared that he was the only militia up there with a bunch of sightseers.

No this will not be a Waco. The Fed’s will have to go after people in twenty or thirty states at one time. What do you think two or three hundred fire fights all over the country will look like? The Fed’s only like a fight in one place were they outnumber the people 50 or more to one.

I bet he's one of them that they'll track down.

Chances are he's been tracking them.

How about a target that's 944 yards away. Nail it with a M91 Mosin Nagant - using 7N1 Sniper Ammo and no scope! That's right just IRON SIGHTS!

Nagant 7.62 x 54 is way more capable of shooting 400 yds with open sight than a 7.62 x 39 AK but unless you absolutely had to do you want to be shooting over friendlies?

I think the guy was a plant, there for a photo op or an idiot.
