Garner Ted Armstrong was the son of Herbert W. Armstrong. He was excommunicated by the Church in the 1970's. The radio and TV programs, called the Wonderful World Tomorrow, were cancelled upon the death of Herbert Armstrong in 1986.

The Worldwide Church of God was destroyed by Armstrong's successors. A former WCG minister formed the Philadelphia Church of God. The PCG sued the remnant of the WCG for the rights to Armstrong's work.

Most of the books authored by Herbert W. Armstrong, and many new ones, are available free at thetrumpet.com. The book linked in post nine is one of them.
