Vermont Maple Syrup Producer Complains: NBC Edited My Remarks to Support ‘Global Warming’
newsbusters.org ^ | 5/8/2014 | Sean Long

Sometimes the truth is much sweeter than the syrupy environmentalism of the national media. While hyping the alleged effects on climate change, NBC’s May 6 “Nightly News” tried to localize the impact by citing a different problem in each region. The broadcast played a clip of Burr Morse, a seventh-generation maple syrup producer from Montpelier, Vermont, stating that this season’s weather had been too warm. Contrary to this clip’s implications, Morse told the MRC’s Business and Media Institute that cold weather actually did more to harm this year’s maple syrup season.

Was not NBC the network that blew up a car with explosives to make a point the vehicle was not safe in a collision??

Regarding Vermont, whenever I see something comes from there, I avoid it. A state that wishes to be known by having socialists as representatives or wherein senators change parties to avoid having to not provide a majority to a less liberal side, can support themselves just like all good socialists say they do.

The Left’s favorite methodology: “once heard it can’t be unheard.” “Once seen it can’t be unseen.”

Works on the “low information voters” each and every time.

To get a good maple syrup crop the trees need days of 40 and above and nights in the low to mid twenties.

This year once it got above freezing in the days, it simply did not get cold enough at night, but even now, the year has been so over all cold that in Maine, we are using heat in the mornings, for while the nights are not freezing the nights are in the mid 30's and the days in the forties to mid fifties. Folks, there aint no global warming in Maine for the last two years at least. God is trying to show us what fools we are.

In my part of Maine, what is called the foot hills or Oxford Hills, October, November, December, January, February, March, and April have all been below normal. Here it is the 10th of May and I have no dandelions. The winter was so cold that my spinach has not come up, my kale got winter killed and I am seeing no signs of Broccoli.

What does all the above mean? It means you are going to be paying more for your produce this coming year.

Yup. NBC News was under the direction of former Des Moines Register executive Michael Gartner at the time of the fake explosion story.

It would be nearly impossible to find a more elitist, condescending turd than Gartner, now owner of the Ames, Iowa Tribune.

Any dealings with propagandists should require your own film crew to be present and ready to go on youtube titled S.T.O.P. (See The Obvious Propaganda) videos.

Citizen journalism vs. state sponsored BS BUMP!

Wake up and smoke the socialists.

I grew up in Upstate New York. One winter it was so cold that as we spoke, our words froze and fell to the ground. We had to sit around a bonfire and thaw out the words to have a discussion.

The following Spring was the noiseiest on record.

But wasn't the long winter due to the "polar vortex" caused by gloBULL warming?

LOL! Yup. My dad grew up on the Hudson River and he and my grandfather used to cut ice out of the river in the 1920’s for their ice business. Does the Hudson even freeze over like that now? Nature doin’ what she feels like doin’. We (polluters/deniers) can do whatever we want but like the old butter/margarine commercial used to say: “You don’t want to fool with mother nature.” She will kick your butt without batting an eyelash.

You had it easy. The same winter in Illinois our campfire froze solid and we had to rub the flames with our hands to thaw them out.

“Anybody who spent the 2013/14 winter on the East Coast should immediately have become suspicious as the winter remained cold through March, incidentally when the maple syrup harvest typically begins.”

Living in the Southern Tier of NY (the part near most of Pennsylvania), I concur. Having been a back yard maple syrup producer in the past, the harvest can start in February. Not this year.

LOL! Well yeah. But that’s all due to the Koch brothers making it so warm last summer which logically caused this winter to hang around for so long.

The Ministry of ‘’TRUTH’’ just doing it’s job.

The Ministry of Truth is involved with news media, entertainment, the fine arts and educational books. Its purpose is to rewrite history to change the facts to fit Party doctrine for propaganda effect

1984 is here, it’s just 30 years late.
