and you don't know your Church's protocols and dogma concerning addressing popes, cardinals, bishops?

I guess I don't. I can't seem to recall where the Church promulgated a dogmatic teaching on the proper form of salutation for those in the magisterium.

There is nothing 'radical' about individualism

Yeah....sure. I'll remember that the next time some baby killer or sodomite says that they, and they alone are the sole arbiters of moral truth.

I guess you know that Protestants vote against abortion, and Catholics vote for it?

They do? Wow! Why didn't you say that before? Then America isn't destroyed anymore? Everything is okay now that you have run the numbers and divined that this is all the result of Catholic infiltration?

Now all we have to do is thwart the NWO/GOPe/Catholic conspiracy to flood American with illegal Mexican Catholics to overwhelm our WASP system of dominance.

Is religious belief simply a function of mathematics with you?

And let's say I agreed 100% with your extrapolations. You still didn't answer my previous question: what are we to do about it?

Put the chalk down, Glenn.

I'm no apologist for Pope Francis. You won't find me, "...[W]hat he meant to say was..." His Holiness has a severe communication problem. But, Popes come and go. The Church remains.

There is nothing 'holy' about this guy!!! All that religious garb he dresses up in does not change his mentality. Christ said Feed my Sheep and Christ was not talking about soup kitchens or tax collectors being nice and giving Rome its cut.

A church can be ones idol if one makes it the object of their worship. But hey, in this flesh journey, each individual has the God-given right to believe whatever they find most comforting. But none have the God-given right to force their religion upon others. Whether it be by forced taxation, but legitimately distributed benefits. Universal health care or catholic-care was forced upon US. And next will be the will of Rome, AMNESTY!!!!

I'm curious as to how you know that?

Christ said Feed my Sheep and Christ was not talking about soup kitchens or tax collectors being nice and giving Rome its cut.

All of that is part of the Christian experience. Where it all fits and the proper relationships between it is the matter that is up for discussion

A church can be ones idol if one makes it the object of their worship.

And what of those who worship and idolize self? Where man becomes the prime mover? Do you not see that as the driving force of our moral decline? Certainly you don't believe that "worship" of Church is the central issue here?

And nobody is forcing their religion on anybody. But I do believe that once the American project reaches its end the Catholic Church will probably have a larger role in our society than it does today. What form that'll take I don't know. But it'll derive naturally and organically and not as a matter of force. Most likely as a matter of necessity to prevent Mad Max. Unless you believe the United States will exist in perpetuity?

I'm sorry you think healthcare and immigration are the existential issues of our time. They play a role, yes. But I wouldn't ascribe the importance that you put on them. If our national survival is so fragile that Obamacare is the final straw then I have to wonder on what basis we would believe we were strong to begin with. And as they say demography is destiny. But you'd be mistaken if you thought these issues were the province of Rome.

“And that is why there has only been one Catholic president. The Vatican demands obedience, and loyalty.”

And than we have sinners, like the fornicating Kenedys, child killers like Nancy Pelosi.

Yes to all of these the Church prelates provide the Eucharist

Your table would seem to indicate that there are no murders in Pakistan.
That’s because a Pakistani wrote the chart

Perhaps he should focus more on the 10th commandment.

Exactly what a Liberal would say. And the Church does have the moral authority regardless of your contempt.

This one sure brought Catholic bashers out in force on FR.

Hope that was rewarding for such. Sounds a lot like ignorant foolishness.

Think you need to look in the mirror there pal. What you said was outright hysterical, lacked any factual basis, and displayed a mind that's clearly unable to think for itself after your indoctrination. Likely using talking points that you've rehearsed over and over again.

Have a nice day.

The Vatican Bank is one of the wealthiest banks in the world. Why does pope Francis only mention government and states to give other peoples money away?

I didn't bother to read the article, because the term "wealth redistribution" pretty much doesn't need interpretation.

I agree.

But the thing is, the Pope said "economic benefits", not "wealth".

"Economic benefits" means that everyone has a fair shot in the economy and that there's a level playing field. While the Pope was probably speaking more against the behavior of the Third World plutocracies (which is downright abhorrent when it comes to economic matters), in the context of the US it can be seen as a firm statement against a bothersome little thing called "Crony Capitalism."

In fact, the functional implementation of "redistribution of economic benefit" can be seen as things like reduction in regulations, the ditching of the progressive income tax in favor of a flat tax, etc.

Now, I don't think the Pope was going that far. But I would submit that it's the natural end point of the direction he was pointing in.

Tell me why Catholic Mexico treats its peoples in such a manner that it has to export its citizens to leech off US to survive?

"Catholic" Mexico has a long history of persecuting Church members. Perhaps reading "The Power and The Glory" would give some enlightenment.

At any rate, if all Catholics disappeared overnight, you would still have the same set of problems and still be afraid to name the source.
